Mindfulness Mini – Are You Shining?

My yoga mentor loves to ask us during a vinyasa class if we are shining, even when the class is hard, especially when the class is hard. If she hears grumbling or senses discomfort, the question is posed. Actually, it isn’t so much of a question as it is a command. As a class and as an individual, are we shining our intention, shining our purpose, shining our love, and shining our essence? Her question is a command to show up, do our best, and share our inherent light.

So I ask you, even is life is hard, especially is life is hard…
Are you shining?

Are you showing up for yourself? for your family? for your life?

Are you doing you best for yourself? for your family? for your life?

Are you sharing your inherent light with yourself? your family? your life?

  1. That’s very good Julie. Shining reminds me of smiling. I went to a Yoga class where the instructor told us to smile on the exhale. I hadn’t heard that before, but it felt good. Thank you for sharing, as always. xx
