It is so easy to ruminate on the negative. I found myself recently in a mind trap where I was telling myself a very one sided, negative story. It was really quite ridiculous, truly outside of reality, but when you repeat it enough to yourself, all negative things seem plausible.
To pull myself out of this ludicrous cycle, I started looking for evidence that disputed my negative story. Turns out there was a lot of evidence to the contrary of my negative perception that I was overlooking in order to stay stuck. There was another point of view, a more positive perspective.
Look for evidence that disputes your negative point of view or perception.
